Basset Hound Rescue Resources What is a Basset Hound rescue? Rescues are organizations with the goal of helping unwanted bassets find permanent homes. They are operated by volunteers dedicated to the welfare of the breed who find new homes for unwanted and abandoned Basset hounds. Each dog in the rescue is temperament tested and evaluated for health concerns in a foster home setting. Some of the dogs in the organization have health or behavior issues that the rescue volunteers work to resolve prior to their placement in a loving forever home. Basset Buddies Rescue, Inc., is the only all basset rescue serving Minnesota, Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. For adoption questions or to relinquish a basset hound please email Basset Buddies Rescue, Inc. or call them at 262-347-8823. If you live outside the Basset Buddies Rescue, Inc. service area please refer to BuckBasset's Rescue Page to locate a Basset Hound rescue in your area.
